Tea trip 2024 – Rize, Turkey
We hope you have all had a good start to the new year and are enjoying good, healthy tea. As announced in our last newsletter, we would like to announce the first details of our planned tea trip.
Our planning is well advanced and we are proud to announce that some of our tea producers and friends from this region have agreed to join us on this tour. They will give us a comprehensive insight into the world of tea producers – from plucking to production and sale.
After an individual journey (but we can help with this), we want to meet on June 5 in the afternoon/evening in Rize, directly on the Black Sea, and start our tour. Rooms are booked until 9/10 June morning and we have prepared what we hope will be an exciting, informative and busy program.
The planned highlights are:
o Visit to the tea bazaar in Rize
o Tour of the local tea research institute with tastings
o Visit to a women’s tea cooperative dedicated to the production of organic tea
o We learn about the tea production process at Caykur
o And as a highlight: each participant produces their own green tea from start to finish, i.e. we pick together in the fields and then produce our own tea (approx. 100g).i.e. we pick together in the fields and then produce our own tea (approx. 100g per person).
o We meet several tea producers and decision-makers in the region and have the chance to ask all the questions we have always wanted to know about tea production.
The cost of this tour is approx. 750 EUR.
The costs include: Hotel with view over tea gardens incl. Breakfast for 5 nights, all
Transfers from Rize airport, costs for all program points, an exclusive dinner with some tea producers, translations, tour guide by us.
Not included are: Flights to Rize (usually via Istanbul), individual meals (unless stated above). If you are interested, we can try to obtain group rates for the outward/return journey through our travel agency.
Yogininni also offers daily tea meditations and health-promoting yoga. Please register in advance at yoga@yogininni.at.
Extension options in combination with Istanbul or in the alpine region of Kaçkar can be discussed with us and booked individually through our travel agency.
The maximum number of participants is 10. For further information, requests and suggestions for this trip, please let us know – ideally during a visit to our tea boutique.
