Description
Ai Jiao actually comes from the Chinese village of Dongfeng (Jian’Ou) south of the Wu Yi mountains. However, our Ai Jiao does not come from Dongfeng, but was grown further west in Guangxi. It grows at an altitude of almost 2000 meters and is shielded from all kinds of pollution, both industrial and human. The special thing about this tea is the fact that the tea mound is actually a volcano that is still classified as active.
The volcanic soil gives the tea bushes a sweet taste and a fragrant aroma that is highly appreciated by connoisseurs of oolong teas.
It can be compared to the Taiwanese Dong Ding, as it offers a fuller body than other high mountain oolongs.
