Description
A typical Dong Ding Oolong was produced from hand-picked leaves of the Jin Xuan variety. This traditionally produced tea underwent a lengthy and complex roasting process, creating the perfect balance between fresh, floral and roasted, creamy notes. It went through a multi-stage roasting process and spent more than 60 hours on hot charcoal.
This Dong Ding Jin Xuan Oolong has dark leaves with a delicate roasted aroma. The copper-colored infusion has a multi-layered aroma. The taste is complex with notes of malt and roasted buckwheat. The tasting begins with a fruity, tart, light flavor that turns into a roasted, creamy-sweet finesse. The finish is refreshing and slightly spicy. None of the aromas are overly dominant and the roasted notes round off the overall impression appropriately.
